Air Jordan 3 UNC

One of our faves is the iconic Air Jordan 3. First released in 1988, it features the unique elephant print on the lower toe side and the heel. Designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield, it nearly didn’t make it out of Nike’s design studios.

The story is that Michael Jordan, was about to walk out of his contract with Nike which had seen the release of the Air Jordan 1 and 2. The Chicago Bull’s legend was impressed by the shoe’s elephant print, among other features.

The rest, as they say is history.

The Air Jordan 3 UNC, or Valor, was released in 2020 in tribute to Jordan’s old college, the University of North Carolina.

Another popular design is the Air Jordan 13, in which Jordan played most of his last season with the Bulls.

The Last Dance, as the 1997/1998 season came to be known, has now been made into a popular documentary.

Popular collabs have made the Air Jordan brand popular with the most notable being with Virgil Abloh’s OffWhite outfit as well as multiple releases designed promoted by Travis Scott.

The Air Jordan 1 TrophyRoom is one of the latest successful shoe collabs and features a frozen red colorway designed by the sneakershop belonging to one of Michael’s sons, Marcus.
